We just had Mother’s Day 2013 and my mother decided to bring out a blast from the past on me; a diary that she encouraged me to write.
I’ll admit that apparently I wasn’t that dedicated to the diary since I only posted 8-10 times over the course of a year and some change. But… It proves that I was an entrepreneur from an early age. I wasn’t exactly going to win ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ but something did stick out to me that I said in one of the posts.
“Last night I was thinking of something I could invent so I could be famous and do less work.” Feel free to read the entire post if you’d like. It was written on 06/22/93. This was 20 years ago and II was 9 years old.
If you didn’t already know me then I guess I now have written proof that I had entrepreneurial intentions at an early age.
But as I’ve already said, children are creative. They want to make things. They have ideas.
Mothers are important to mental development as well. They can be tough. They can be unforgiving at times. They can hurt us (emotionally and physically). They’re not perfect; unfortunately, they’re only human too. But I feel that they want the best for us.
If your mother raised you, then chances are that she had her hands full. She needs to hear you say ‘thank you’ If you feel that she could have done better at raising you and you know that you gave her a hard time, then she still needs to hear you say ‘thank you’. [I think you also owe her an apology]. If your mother wronged you or didn’t love you as she should have, it’s never too late. You should forgive her. You should try to start a relationship now.
All I know is that life is short and YOLO (you only live once).
I only know that life is easier to live without anger. Life is more fun with less weight on your shoulders. It’s better when you can love.
So to all you mothers out there, Happy Mother’s Day.
