Hey Folks – Jeff Lenney here with my full ClickFunnels review. If you’ve never heard of ClickFunnels by Russel Brunson, you’re about to get quite the introduction!
Anyways, I NEVER review a product unless I get it, use it, and make sure it does what it claims. That was certainly the case with ClickFunnels, so let’s get to the reason you’re here:

What DOES ClickFunnels Software do, Exactly?
I still find that a lot of people are confused or thrown off by the term “funnel”.
What IS a sales funnel, or a ClickFunnel exactly?
Let me explain, using McDonalds as an example!
Did you know that it costs McDonalds $1.91 in advertising to get you into the drive through…?
And when they sell you a burger for $2.09… they ONLY make $0.18… 🙁
But… when they upsell you fries and a coke for $1.77 more… they make (and more importantly keep $1.32 profit).
Yes, 8 times the profit of the initial sale!
Pretty cool, don’t you think?
But… what does that have to do with you?
Well, If you’re like most people who sell stuff online…You setup a website, and you started selling your product. But just like McDonalds, even if people are buying it, after your advertising costs, you’re probably not left with enough to even cover your hosting bills. 🙁
And that’s when you realize… that if you want to make it online, you can’t sell from a flat website. You need to do what McDonalds did, and setup a sales funnel.
But instead of having people go through a drive-in window, online they go through a “capture page” where you can gather their contact information and follow up with them through email…
Then instead of selling them a burger, you have a sales page created to sell your initial product…
And while you’re probably not going to offer your customers fries and a coke, you could upsell them on your other products and services.
This is what we call a “Sales Funnel”. Where website visitors can come in the top, And cash comes out the bottom.
You have seen it work at McDonald’s, you have seen it work on Amazon… and you KNOW it will work for you.
So, you decide to create your first sales funnel, But after weeks of trial and error, You ask yourself… WHY did it have to be so hard?

Having used other funnel builders, and switching over to Clickfunnels from a leading competitor – I had a good idea coming in as to how to use it before I even began writing my clickfunnels review.

There is a learning curve, but once you accept that, your experience improves drastically.

The Classic Funnels (Old Method)

Here’s how easy it is to get started.
Step 1: Click “Add New Funnel”, you’ll be given three primary choices:
Build a Funnel to Collect Emails and build your email list
Build a funnel to sell your product or services
Build a funnel to host a webinar and grow your audience
(You’re also given a 4th option, to Create a Custom Funnel)
Anyway, for sake of example – let me show you how to build a “Generate Leads” funnel, this is the one type of funnel I use 90% of the time:
My Own Example: ClickFunnels Leads Funnel
Okay, so there are still quite a few options for this type of funnel – you can do anything from Bridge Funnels, to Survey Funnels, and Lead Magnets. I this example, I’ll quickly build a Leads Funnel, using clickfunnels and a few minutes of my time! 🤓
1.) Clickfunnels Leads Funnel
So just to be clear, A lead magnet funnel is similar to the other optin funnels, except you are actually giving away something in exchange for their email address. It may be a report or video, but it’s typically something tangible that they are exchanging for their email address.
In this example, I’m going with the Lead Magnet Funnel, to Collect Emails and build my audience/base.
My own lead-magnet funnels are structured in a 2-page layout, like this:

Thank You Page (includes a download for a lead magnet, PLUS affiliate link for another product I’m promoting)
After this, they’re on my email list and I can promote more offers to them, as well as build a solid reputation with them!
You’re given 8 FREE Lead Magnet Funnel styles initially. Once you sign up you can get OVER 100 FREE Sales Funnel Templates added to your account, by simply watching the initial training videos.
There ARE some PAID Funnels available as well, but these are VERY specialized for businesses such as restaurants, Real Estate Agents, Gyms, Doctors, Dentists, etc. If you’re just starting out and don’t own a business like this, these won’t apply to you. 🙂
I’m going with the “Conquer The World” Styled Funnel in this example. I click to select it, and add it to my account (there are HUNDREDS of funnels available, so they’re not all in your account initially to save space).
I choose the theme, customize it EASILY, and in about 3 minutes I have THIS beautiful opt-in page & thank you page created!
FYI – This e-book cover and page are a joke do NOT take them seriously! 🙂
(Common, 1 Million in 1 Hour, that’s Funny…right guys….right?)
Anyway – I created a few funny eBook covers years ago, including Underwater Yoga for Badasses, and the 240LB Diet Plan (To Lose 240 LBS in 5 Days).
This was VERY easy to do, it’s a drag and drop styled page builder, and being that this template was pre-designed for me, I just had to replace a few images, and add my own text & logo.
While I chose to keep my pages VERY simple, you can add a BUNCH of things to them such as videos, popups, audio players, text message signup/notifications, countdown timers, social share icons, pricing table, custom menu options, Facebook Comments, and a bunch more. The design looks amazing, and it’s definitely a favorite tool in my online arsenal.
You can also set up A/B testing for your opt-in and thank you pages to see which one converts the best/ This shows you in REAL TIME what’s working, and what’s not!
There’s a lot more things you can do for automation, such as text message alerts and more, but that’s a bit more advanced and I won’t get into it now.
There are MANY different types of funnels available, let me quickly go over 2 of the other popular ones
2.) Clickfunnels “Sell Your Own Product” Funnel
ClickFunnels also has the perfect solution for those who want to sell their own product. While you CAN customize the steps and pages 100%, the image above shows the layout of a fairly successful funnel you can quickly build with the software.
I’m not going to demo the above funnel as it’s a bit extensive, but the process is the same as with the opt-in funnel. You choose the steps for your funnel, the fully customizable steps, and layouts, and start driving traffic!
Let’s take the example image above for example:
Your Visitor Lands on your Squeeze Page (Landing Page) and is presented with your lead magnet (remember my 8 Favorite Free giveaways from further up in the review?) usually in exchange for their email address.
After they sign up, they’re presented with an offer of something for sale. This could be immediately after signing up, or a day or two into your autoresponder sequence.
After they purchase your core offer, they’re presented with an OTO (One-Time-Offer) as an upsell to the original offer. This is generally not something that’s required, but something made to improve the results they get with your core offer.
After this, they land on your Thank You Page and are given access to their download(s).
Now, don’t let the above scare you, that’s actually an easy one BUT it’s meant for people who already have their own products.
For affiliate marketing and list building I keep my own Clickfunnels MUCH, much simpler and they work like a charm too, without even having my own product!

My ClickFunnels Review & Final Thoughts
Well, if you’ve read my Clickfunnels review up to this point, thank you! It’s probably 4-5,000 words up to this point, so I appreciate your dedication! LOL
I know I’ve written quite a lot, but to be honest – there is a LOT to cover.
If you can’t tell, I’m a huge fan of Clickfunnels and it’s been nice to see Russell Brunson grow his company in the way that he has. It’s easy to see why Clickfunnels has a bit of a cult following. It’s a solid company with solid leadership – dare I say, one of the best in the industry.
Over the past few years (I first created my Clickfunnels account in 2017 or 2018). I’ve seen the training updated CONSTANTLY, the Funnel Builder get BETTER & EASIER, and the community (the forum, and the Facebook group) grow and become quite helpful as well.
There is plenty of documentation on everything, the customer support is great (though a bit slow at times), and the affiliate program – of course – is amazing.
Pricing is competitive and you get a LOT more training (which you can fully access with your 14 day trial) than all of the competitors offer, combined. My advice, take a leap of faith and immerse yourself in the 14-day Trial.
Do NOT let yourself get overwhelmed with ClickFunnels, there is a LOT of content, but if you stick to and focus on just one thing at a time. It flows together nicely and you get that “ah-ha” moment you’re likely looking for. 😎
