You Have Superhero Powers – and How I Know Why

Today a friend made a statement about a company that he’s working for. I asked him a question about the company. And the millisecond I finished asking I answered it – myself – out loud. He gave me that “Why did you just ask that if you knew the answer look.” So it made me think. I must have superhero power.

Has this ever happened to you? It happens to me. All. The. Time.

Let me give you another example that’s slightly different. This time your friend asks you something, but you didn’t ‘hear’ them. So you ask them to repeat the question – you answer their question before they fully repeat. Weird. But you didn’t ‘hear’ them. At least not on the conscious surface level. You must have Superhero Power.

One more, just to prove my case.

You’re sitting with some friends laughing about the past and telling stories. You’re trying to think of the name of that guy that you met the night that you [fill in the blank]… It was funny. But what was his name?!? Nothing. You squeeze your brain. Red Face. Nothing. Later that night you’re cleaning up after your friends leave jamming to Pandora when it comes to your mind. Jason!! That’s it, Jason.You must have Superhero Power.

Why did that happen?

The truth is, I don’t know. There are numerous books that I’ve read on the power of the subconsicous mind [links] and how powerful it is. I’m not going to pretend to begin to understand this. I know that neuroscience is incredible and beginning to see what happens in the brain when we do certain things. But I also know that you can just have faith that it works and you’ll be ok. Napolean Hill figured this out long ago with “Think and Grow Rich” (affiliate link) and we’ve just been repeating the same information over and over in newer books (not a bad thing, especially since people like me need to hear something multiple times before we understand anyway!)

All I know is that you have Superhero Powers. It seems hokey, but it’s legit.

Heard of The Secret? (affiliate link) Definitely seems hokey, but there’s plenty of truth;  it’s legit.

So put the hokey aside and have faith. Just believe. Why? Because there is already proof that it works in your life. No? Please refer back to the 3 examples above. If none of these has ever happened to you then I’d like to meet you personally.

If it seems hokey that’s ok. It’s because your conscious mind can’t understand it. Why not? I don’t know, it just can’t. Just have faith. Faith is believing in what you can’t explain but that you just know that ‘it is.’ Our science is making exponential improvements to begin to understand the things that we ‘just know’.

Now, I’ll leave the deeper scientific explanations to someone else out there. There are lots of them. I’ve watched documentaries on them. I’ve read books on them. They’re incredible.

But I’ll leave those explanations up to you guys in the comments! I’m just going to stick with my original statement. You Have Superhero Powers!
